The seasonsAl Palazz is a house for all seasons - really comfortable, whatever the weather.
Spring brings the streets to life from Easter onwards, and the valleys bloom with flowers. There's a special sagra for Treschietto onions, a local sweet variety. May and June are good months for being out and about before the days get really hot. The pool is open from late May. In high summer (July, August) Bagnone bustles with Italian families coming back to their roots. It's usually pretty hot. There's a sagra (food festival), ballo or concerto at every turn, and outdoor cinema. On the night of San Lorenzo you can see shooting stars. In the autumn, it's time for winemaking - the local vendemmia takes place around the end of September. Then there's a run of chestnut festivals throughout October. It's usually warm enough for shirt-sleeves in the day, with just enough chill to justify a log fire at night. Winters in the valley (November to March ) are mild. Persimmon and pomegranates are in the shops. There are beautiful crisp sunny days for walking, as the woods turn golden - and the usual share of damp days and storms. New Year is celebrated.
