Take part in what's on locally - from food and wine festivals, to medieval fairs, dance nights, concerts and opera.
Improve your Italian - inevitably, as not much English is spoken, but local people are generally friendly and helpful (and if you want we can find you a tutor).
Paint, sketch, or take photos - there are so many beautiful unspoiled spots to choose.
