The nearest airports are Pisa (1 hour) or Genoa (1.5 hours). Pisa is simpler but can be busier and more expensive as a tourist airport. Genoa is a lovely coastal drive away, but getting on and off the motorway is more complex. Both have lots of car hire companies.

We normally fly Easyjet or Ryanair from the UK to Pisa or Genoa, but there are lots of airline choices - see www.pisaairport.com or www.airport.genova.it for details of all the airlines which use these airports..

You can also get to Al Palazz within a few hours from cities with airports and stations throughout northern and central Italy, including Bologna, Rome, Milan, Turin, Venice.

Driving from the south, you leave the A15 at Aulla; from the north at Pontremoli. Follow the signs to Bagnone. Drive through the centre of town, over the bridge and straight up through the chestnut woods until you reach the sign for Mochignano Chiesa.

The nearest train stations are Aulla, Villafranca-Bagnone, or Pontremoli, all of which are an easy taxi ride away.

We'll send you full detailed travel instructions once you've booked and let us know where you're travelling from.
